Youth Entrepreneur Fair: Where Young Ideas Become Real Opportunities
Celebrating Young Entrepreneurs and the Courage to Dream Big
What if a child’s big idea could become the beginning of a real business?
Children and young people are naturally creative. They imagine, build, solve problems, and come up with ideas that adults may never think of. With the right encouragement and opportunities, those ideas can become something more.
That is the heart behind the Junior Entrepreneur Club and its culminating Youth Entrepreneur Fair.
After completing a three-session entrepreneurial experience, young participants will have the opportunity to bring their business ideas to life and share them with the community.

From an Idea to a Business
The journey begins before the fair.
Through the Junior Entrepreneur Club, youth ages 9–15 participate in a three-session program designed to help them explore what it takes to develop an idea into a product and launch a business.
Participants attend sessions at Brandywine Hundred Library, where they learn, develop their ideas, and prepare for the next step in their entrepreneurial journey.
The three sessions are:
Session 1: Saturday, October 10, 2026 | 1:30–2:30 PM
Session 2: Saturday, October 24, 2026 | 1:30–2:30 PM
Session 3: Saturday, November 7, 2026 | 1:30–2:30 PM

A Chance to Experience Entrepreneurship
Entrepreneurship is about more than selling something.
It teaches young people how to take an idea, think through a problem, create something of value, communicate with others, and take the first steps toward making an idea real.
For a young person, that experience can build confidence that reaches far beyond the fair.
When a child stands behind something they created and says, “I made this,” they are learning that their ideas have value.
And when they make their first sale, they experience something even more powerful: the connection between creativity, hard work, and opportunity.
The Big Day: Youth Entrepreneur Fair
The Youth Entrepreneur Fair will bring young entrepreneurs together at the Delaware State Fair Grounds for a day centered on creativity, business, and opportunity.
After completing all three Junior Entrepreneur Club sessions, participants will be prepared to take the next step and showcase their businesses at the fair.
This is their opportunity to put what they have learned into action.
Families, community members, and supporters will have the chance to encourage these young entrepreneurs, explore their products and ideas, and celebrate the work they have put into building their businesses.
Why Early Entrepreneurship Matters
We often tell young people to dream big.
But giving them opportunities to practice turning those dreams into action is just as important.
Early entrepreneurial experiences can encourage children to become problem-solvers, creative thinkers, confident communicators, and people who recognize opportunities around them.
The goal is not to expect every child to become a business owner.
The goal is to help young people understand that they can create, contribute, lead, and bring their ideas into the world.
A Celebration of Young Possibilities
The Youth Entrepreneur Fair is more than the final event of a program.
It is a celebration of what can happen when young people are given the opportunity to explore their ideas and the support to take them seriously.
Every product displayed, every conversation with a customer, and every first sale represents a young person taking a step toward greater confidence and independence.
We are proud to support these young entrepreneurs as they learn that their ideas can become opportunities.
Join Us in Supporting Young Entrepreneurs
Family Life Project invites families and community members to come out and support the young entrepreneurs participating in the Youth Entrepreneur Fair on Saturday, November 14, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the Delaware State Fair Grounds.
Come discover what these young entrepreneurs have created, support their businesses, and celebrate their accomplishments.
Because when we invest in young people today, we help create a community filled with creative thinkers, confident leaders, and future entrepreneurs.
