GivingTuesday 2026

GivingTuesday — December 1, 2026

Every family deserves access to opportunities that help children learn, grow, and discover what they are capable of becoming.

At Family Life Project, we believe that strengthening families means creating opportunities for children and young people to build confidence, develop practical skills, and feel supported in their communities.

That is why we are participating in GivingTuesday on December 1, 2026.

This GivingTuesday, we are raising support toward our $10,000 Delaware Gives fundraising goal to help support our after-school youth programming and continue providing affordable opportunities for children and families. Our current fundraiser has raised $600 from four donors, and every contribution helps us move closer to our goal.

What Does Your Giving Make Possible?

Giving to Family Life Project is about more than a donation. It is about helping create experiences that can make a difference in a child's life.

Throughout 2026, Family Life Project has provided programs, workshops, community events, and resources focused on youth development, family support, health and wellness, education, and life skills.

Our programs have included Dream Savers Financial Literacy, Kids Culinary Academy, AI Explorers, Read to Succeed, Junior Entrepreneur Club, Healthy Kids Day, Back-to-School Giveaways, health and wellness programming, and more.

These opportunities give children and families places to learn, connect, participate, and grow.

Real Impact in Our Community

The numbers tell part of the story.

In 2026, Family Life Project's programs and community activities have reached people throughout Delaware.

  • 296 adults participated in Talk About It Tuesday on July 14.

  • 248 adults participated in the April 14 Talk About It Tuesday session.

  • 100 youth and families participated in Healthy Kids Day.

  • 100 youth and families attended the Blue Rocks Non-Profit Appreciation Event.

  • 25 children registered for the Read to Succeed Summer Challenge, with 15 completing the challenge.

  • 35 people attended the Read to Succeed celebration.

  • A basketball camp workshop reached 43 children and 86 parents.

Our Kids Culinary Academy also provided multiple summer sessions for children, with participation ranging from elementary through middle school students.

These numbers represent more than attendance. They represent children learning new skills, families connecting with resources, and community members having opportunities to participate.

Supporting Children Beyond the Classroom

One example is our Back-to-School support.

Family Life Project's impact data shows that 400 families were served through the annual Back-to-School Event with bookbags and school supplies during Fall 2024 through Fall 2025. In 2026, Family Life Project received 200 bookbags, with 150 distributed at Claymont Library and 50 distributed through a local church.

For a child, receiving a backpack and school supplies can mean starting the school year feeling prepared and supported.

That is what community support can make possible.

Preparing Young People for Their Future

Family Life Project is also expanding opportunities that help young people develop practical skills for life.

Through Mosaic Life Skills Academy, students in Grades 2–6 can participate in hands-on learning focused on financial literacy, entrepreneurship, healthy living, leadership, and social-emotional development. The program includes three rotating modules: Dream Savers, Junior Entrepreneur, and Healthy Lifestyle.

Students can learn about money management, goal setting, banking, saving and investing. They can explore business planning, marketing, branding, public speaking, and pitching. They can also develop healthy habits through nutrition, mindfulness, self-care, conflict resolution, and culinary arts.

The goal is not simply to teach information. It is to help young people develop confidence, critical thinking, communication, decision-making, leadership, and real-world problem-solving skills.

Keeping Opportunities Affordable

Family Life Project's goal is to continue making programs and resources accessible to youth and families.

That is why community support matters.

When you give, you are helping make it possible for Family Life Project to continue offering programs that support children's development, family well-being, education, health and wellness, financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and community connection.

As Krystalyn Davis shared during our GivingTuesday planning:

“What you give not only helps your family, but helps another family.”

This GivingTuesday, Help Us Continue the Work

Our goal is to raise support toward our $10,000 Delaware Gives goal and continue creating opportunities for youth and families.

Whether you give $5, $10, $25, $50, $100, or another amount, your contribution can help Family Life Project continue its work in the community.

Your gift can help a child discover a new skill.

It can help a family access a needed resource.

It can help a young person gain confidence.

It can help keep meaningful programs available to families.

This GivingTuesday, we invite you to be part of that impact.
